Head Chef

The Brown Pub is looking for a dedicated and experienced chef to take up the role of head chef to teach and guide our team.
Affectionately known as The Brown by locals, this popular venue is located in Methven offering a relaxed lifestyle along with the vibrant winter season as tourists are attracted from all corners of the world to enjoy the world-famous Mt Hutt Ski Area.
Mt Hutt is just one of the attractions along with 6 other ski areas in the area, the Opuke Thermal Pools, and a fantastic range of mountain biking, bush walks, golf, fishing and more right on your doorstep.
Inside the Brown Pub you’ll find newly renovated bars, restaurant, beer garden and stunning accommodation upstairs in this historic gem of a building.

About the Role: 
Reporting to the Venue Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all Kitchen outlets, creating positive relationships and taking control of all things food within The Brown Pub!
We are looking for a confident and authentic leader with the skills to inspire and coach your team. You hold a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. You are available to work full time with flexibility across the week, and happy to work weekends.

Could suit an experienced kitchen leader who gains satisfaction from setting a team up for success, with the possibility of working less than full time.
